Hey, I'm Deb.
I have been deeply immersed in psychology, self-development, and wellness practices for over twenty years. I am passionate about supporting people to explore their inner world and deepen their relationship with themselves and others so they can consciously create a fulfilling life within which they can thrive.
In my own journey I have encountered challenges such as trauma, chronic physical illness, grief, and anxiety which have deepened my understanding, knowledge, and compassion. I have studied and integrated a range of modalities to foster healing and wellbeing, that I have actively utilised myself, including nervous system regulation, establishing healthy boundaries, building self-esteem and confidence, improving relationships with self and others, and fostering greater authenticity and a life aligned with values and purpose.
I would love to support you through your challenges and help you regain a sense of power, choice, and fulfillment within your life.
My Story
Straight out of high school I completed a Bachelor of Social Science majoring in Psychology, however I quickly became disillusioned with its clinical diagnostic nature that felt to me lacking in a depth of connection and honouring of the individual. I therefore chose not to continue to post graduate studies at that time and instead travelled abroad to expand my horizons and embark on a journey of self-discovery.
Upon returning to Australia, I followed what I thought was the path to success: career, marriage, house, dog, but was deeply unhappy. I struggled with low self-esteem, a toxic relationship, and an unfulfilling career, feeling lost and stuck in a cycle of drudgery. Eventually, I mustered the courage to make changes, attending counselling, leaving my marriage, and reducing work hours to study. However, just as I began rebuilding my life, I was struck by a debilitating chronic illness that left me housebound for four years, grappling with depression and suicidal ideation.
My debilitating illness brought me to an even deeper examination of myself and my life, providing insights into old patterns, habits, and unresolved trauma stuck in my body that were all contributing to my stress and ill health. Gradually I sought out a range of practices to help me release stored trauma and unprocessed emotions, rebuild my self-esteem, develop healthy boundaries, address my people-pleasing tendencies, gain a sense of empowerment, and align more with my values and what inspires me. As I navigated my own healing journey, I trained in many of the modalities I found the most useful and, as my health improved, I established a business to help others navigate their unique challenges and find their own healing so they can succeed in ways that feel meaningful to them.
